Hospitality & Travel Growth Services
Direct-booking demand, local discovery, reputation and lifecycle marketing for hotels, stays, tours and travel services.
Direct answer: GrowthSparx helps hotels, resorts, homestays and tour operators in India win more direct bookings alongside OTAs — through Google Business Profile and hotel search visibility, Google free booking links, paid campaigns, a fast mobile booking journey and WhatsApp enquiry handling. The goal is not to quit OTAs; it is to make the direct channel the easiest choice for guests who already know your name, and to measure booking value by source.
This playbook fits independent and boutique hotels, resorts and wellness retreats, homestay and villa operators, small hotel groups, and tour, trek and experience operators selling to domestic and inbound travellers.
It is a weaker fit if you have no booking engine or channel manager yet, if rates on your website are routinely higher than on OTAs, or if nobody answers WhatsApp enquiries during the evening hours when most travellers plan. We fix those basics first; advertising a weak direct experience only sends guests back to the OTA.
Common constraints
Guests find you on Google, then book through an OTA because its page loads faster, shows the price and feels safer — and you pay commission on your own brand demand.
WhatsApp and phone enquiries about dates, rooms and packages wait hours for a reply, and the guest books elsewhere.
Nobody can say how many direct bookings came from Google, Instagram, repeat guests or WhatsApp, so budgets follow habit rather than revenue.
OTAs are useful for reach, especially for new properties and international guests. The problem is paying commission on guests who searched for your property by name. We treat each channel by its job:
| Channel | Job it does well | What we change |
|---|---|---|
| OTAs | Discovery by guests who don't know you yet | Keep listings strong; use them as a reach channel, not the default for brand searches |
| Google hotel results and Maps | Guests comparing your property's rates and reviews | Profile accuracy, photos, review replies and free booking links pointing to your engine |
| Brand search and Hotel campaigns | Guests searching your name with booking intent | Protect brand terms and show a clear direct-booking benefit |
| Instagram and Meta ads | Inspiration, packages and seasonal demand | Click-to-WhatsApp and package landing pages |
| WhatsApp and email | Repeat guests, groups, weddings and enquiries | Fast replies, quotes, payment links and pre-arrival messages |
When travellers search for a hotel, Google shows a booking module with rates from different sites. Since March 2021, Google has let hotels and travel companies around the world appear in these booking links for free, and Indian properties are no exception. Per Google's Hotel Center help, free booking links show your rate and send clicks to your own booking page; paid booking links carry an "Ads" label and are bought through Hotel campaigns in Google Ads. Hotels on a booking engine or reservation system can often be connected through that provider, which sets up the links for them, instead of building a Hotel Center feed themselves. We check whether your provider supports it, make sure rates and availability match what the guest sees on your site, and then decide whether paid Hotel campaigns are worth testing on top.
Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence, and more reviews with positive ratings can help. Each property needs one accurate profile in its real-world name — Google's guidelines do not allow taglines or keywords in the name. Google's reviews policy removes reviews bought with discounts or upgrades and bans asking only happy guests, so we send every guest a checkout message requesting honest feedback and reply to every review, including the critical ones.
Indian travellers often prefer to ask before they book: "Is the pool open in June?", "Can we get an extra mattress?", "Do you have a package for 12 people?". We build a WhatsApp flow that answers common questions instantly, captures dates and guest count, hands warm enquiries to your reservations team with context, and sends a payment link or booking-engine link to confirm. After the stay it sends a feedback request and, for guests who opted in, offers for their next visit. WhatsApp's Business Messaging Policy requires opt-in before you message people and honouring every opt-out, so consent is captured at enquiry and booking. Our WhatsApp booking automation guide shows the same pattern for appointment-based businesses.

Digital marketing management typically starts from about ₹25,000–40,000 per month excluding ad spend, with a recommended minimum ad budget of about ₹30,000 per month; seasonal properties often concentrate spend before peak months. Engagements run month-to-month after an initial 3-month ramp-up. Paid Hotel campaigns, booking-engine fees and WhatsApp API charges are billed by those providers.
We have not yet published a hospitality case study, so we will not show you borrowed hotel numbers. What transfers is how we build direct channels and lead follow-up: we built Trehi Organics as a direct-to-consumer brand from zero, and generated worldwide enquiries at about ₹40 per lead for Advancells. For your property we track:
Guest data collected on forms and WhatsApp is handled with clear consent notices, as the DPDP Rules notified in November 2025 require.

FAQ
Make the direct path the easiest choice for guests who already know you: accurate Google Business Profile, free booking links to your own engine, a fast mobile booking page with rate parity and a clear direct benefit, brand search protection, and quick WhatsApp replies. Keep OTAs for discovery, but stop paying commission on guests who searched your name.
Yes. Google opened free hotel booking links to hotels and travel companies worldwide in March 2021. They show your rate in Google's hotel results and send clicks to your booking page. Hotels on a booking engine or reservation system can often be connected through that provider; otherwise a Hotel Center account is needed.
Both appear in Google's hotel booking module. Paid booking links carry an "Ads" label, and are bought through Hotel campaigns in Google Ads. Free booking links appear under "All options" at no cost, ranked by usefulness to travellers. Most independent properties should start with free links before testing paid Hotel campaigns.
Guests tap a WhatsApp button on your site, profile or Instagram ad. An automated flow answers common questions, captures dates and guest count, and hands the enquiry to your reservations team with context. The team sends a quote and a payment or booking-engine link. Guests must opt in, and opt-outs must be honoured under WhatsApp's policy.
Yes, as long as you ask every guest and offer nothing in return. Google's reviews policy removes reviews linked to discounts, upgrades or other incentives, bans asking only happy guests, and does not allow pressuring guests on the premises. A polite checkout message with your review link, plus replies to every review, works within the rules.
