Direct answer: GrowthSparx runs healthcare digital marketing for clinics, hospitals, diagnostic centres and healthcare brands: local SEO and Google Business Profile, policy-compliant Google Search campaigns, WhatsApp appointment booking and enquiry tracking. Every campaign follows the NMC's 6 October 2026 ethical advertising guidelines, which means factual information, no testimonials, no before-and-after images and no inducements, and we work on a fixed monthly fee, never per patient.

Who it is for

Healthcare organisations that want patients, not risk

01

Clinics and specialists

Dental, dermatology, IVF, physiotherapy, ophthalmology and other specialties that rely on local search and booked consultations.

02

Hospitals and chains

Multi-department and multi-branch groups that need location pages, doctor directories and enquiry routing by department.

03

Healthcare and medtech brands

Brands with separate professional (B2B) and patient audiences, often across markets, like our work for Ormco across APAC.

We are not the right partner if you want testimonial videos, "best doctor" claims, discount campaigns or a pay-per-patient arrangement. Those are now outside the NMC rules, and they put a doctor's registration at risk.

NMC 2026 guidelines

What the NMC rules change, and how we build for them

The National Medical Commission's Guidelines on Ethical Advertising and Public Communication, issued on 6 October 2026 with immediate effect, treat search, social and messaging promotion as advertising. These are the rules that shape our campaigns:

NMC rule (para)How we work
No fees linked to referring patients; agency payment must not depend on procuring patients (8.1(vii), 8.1(viii))Fixed monthly retainer only. No per-lead, per-appointment or commission deals.
No requesting or sharing patient testimonials; no fake or paid reviews (Explanation V, 8.1(xii))No testimonial ads and no review incentives. Profiles carry factual service information.
No before-and-after photos or surgical results (8.1(v))Procedure explainers, process steps and facility visuals instead.
No discounts, limited-period offers, coupons or free procedures (8.1(x))Transparent fee and package disclosure, which the guidelines permit.
No unverifiable claims such as "best doctor" or "100% success" (8.1(iii))Qualifications, registration numbers and verifiable facts only.
Digital posts must show the doctor's name, qualifications, registration status and SMR/NMR number (Explanation III)Built into every ad, page and post template.

Using an intermediary does not shift responsibility (para 4.4), so you receive an approval log for every creative. Hospitals may publish factual details such as departments, facilities, emergency services, accreditation and charges (para 8.3).

Platform and data rules

Google, Meta, WhatsApp and patient data

  • Google healthcare policy. Google's Healthcare and medicines policy bans promotion of speculative or experimental treatments and, outside narrow US exceptions, cell and gene therapies, and requires certification for online pharmacies in India. We check every service and keyword against it before launch.
  • No patient remarketing lists. Under Google's personalised advertising policy, health is a sensitive category, so customer match, your own data segments and lookalikes cannot be used. We rely on search intent, location and predefined audiences.
  • WhatsApp consent. The WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy requires opt-in before messaging and honouring every opt-out.
  • DPDP readiness. The DPDP Rules were notified on 13 November 2025 and the notice, consent and security obligations apply from 13 May 2027 (Hogan Lovells Cadwalader summary). We keep health details out of ad platforms and limit form fields to what booking needs.

Pricing and KPIs

What it costs and how we measure success

Engagement model

A fixed fee from about ₹25,000–40,000 per month, excluding ad spend, with a recommended minimum media budget of about ₹30,000 per month. Month to month after a 3-month ramp-up. Our healthcare digital marketing cost guide explains what drives media cost by specialty.

KPIs we report

Calls and enquiries by source, booked appointments, attended appointments, cost per attended appointment by service, profile actions such as calls and direction requests, and new patients by service line. These are internal measures for decisions, never a basis for payment.

FAQ

Healthcare marketing questions

How much does healthcare digital marketing cost in India?

GrowthSparx management starts at about ₹25,000–40,000 per month, excluding ad spend, and we recommend at least ₹30,000 per month in media. The fee is fixed, as the NMC guidelines require it not to depend on patients procured. Media cost per enquiry varies by specialty, city and competition, so we set targets after a few weeks of data.

Can a clinic pay a marketing agency per patient or per lead?

No. The NMC's 6 October 2026 guidelines bar commissions and lead-generation fees linked to referring patients, and say agency or platform engagements must not be structured so payment depends on procuring individual patients. Using an agency does not shift responsibility to the agency. We work only on fixed monthly fees for doctors, clinics and hospitals.

Can we use patient testimonials or before-and-after photos in ads?

No. The NMC guidelines say a doctor shall not request or share patient testimonials for promotion, and they prohibit before-and-after photographs and advertising surgical results. Patient consent does not make either permissible. We build trust with factual content instead: qualifications, registration numbers, facilities, procedure explainers, transparent charges and accurate Google Business Profile information.

Can hospitals or clinics run discount or free-consultation offers?

Not as promotional hooks. The NMC guidelines prohibit discounts, limited-period offers, coupons, gifts, cashbacks, referral benefits and free procedures likely to encourage unnecessary consultations, tests or treatment. Factual, transparent disclosure of charges, packages and fees is permitted, so we publish clear fee information on landing pages and profiles instead of running offer-led ads.

Which channels bring the most patient appointments?

For most clinics, a well-maintained Google Business Profile and Google Search campaigns on treatment and specialty terms produce the most bookings, because patients search with clear intent. A fast website with doctor and treatment pages supports both, and WhatsApp booking reduces drop-off. Meta and YouTube work best for factual education and awareness rather than direct appointment ads.

Can WhatsApp be used for appointment booking and reminders?

Yes, with opt-in. WhatsApp appointment flows let patients choose a slot, confirm it and receive reminders without a phone call. The NMC lists messaging platforms as advertising media, so we keep WhatsApp to service messages such as confirmations and reminders, not promotional broadcasts, and patient data stays within access-controlled systems.

Do you work with healthcare brands outside India?

Yes. We ran worldwide patient enquiry campaigns for Advancells at an average cost per lead of about ₹40, and APAC social branding with separate orthodontist and patient lead journeys for Ormco. International programmes follow each market's advertising rules and Google and Meta healthcare policies in addition to Indian requirements.
