Direct answer: We run compliance-aware acquisition for Indian fintech and financial-services brands: verified Google and Meta ad accounts, claims and disclosures checked against RBI, SEBI and IRDAI rules before launch, education-led content that search and AI engines trust, and tracking that separates application starts from approved, funded or activated customers. We optimise for the outcome your P&L counts, not the cheapest lead.

Who this is for, and when it is not

Regulated entities and their partners: NBFCs and digital lenders, lending service providers (LSPs), insurers and insurance intermediaries, SEBI-registered brokers and investment advisers, and B2B fintech selling payments, compliance or lending infrastructure to businesses. The common requirement is that you hold, or partner with someone who holds, the relevant licence or registration and have an internal compliance owner who can sign off copy.

We do not take on unregistered investment tips, guaranteed-return schemes, crypto trading promotions or loan apps that cannot name their regulated lending partner. Those briefs fail platform verification and put everyone involved at regulatory risk.

Where fintech growth leaks

Why financial brands overpay for customers

Ad accounts that are not verified

Campaigns stall or get disapproved because the advertiser has not completed financial-services verification for India on Google or Meta.

Claims that cannot be defended

"Instant approval", "lowest interest" or return-led creatives cause rejections, regulator scrutiny and the wrong applicants.

Optimising on application starts

Platforms learn to find people who start forms, not people who get approved, so cost per funded loan or issued policy keeps rising.

Trust gaps on the page

Fees, APR, eligibility, the regulated entity's name and grievance contacts are hard to find, so serious applicants leave.

The regulatory rules that shape fintech marketing

AreaWhat the rule saysHow we apply it
Digital lending (RBI)The RBI (Digital Lending) Directions, 2025 of 8 May 2025 consolidated the 2022 digital lending guidelines. Lenders must list their LSPs and apps on their website; an LSP showing several lenders must display every matching offer with lender name, APR, amount, tenure, EMI, penal charges and a link to the Key Fact Statement, with unbiased content and no dark patterns. Data needs explicit consent, and inclusion in RBI's app reporting must not be marketed as RBI registration. No "RBI-approved app" claims; APR and fees shown, not just "low interest"; the regulated lender named on landing pages; consent text on every form.
Investments (SEBI)Since the August 2024 regulation amendments and the 29 January 2025 SEBI circular, regulated entities and their agents may not associate, through money, client referrals or system links, with unregistered advisers or anyone making return or performance claims. Pure investor education is outside the restriction.Creator and affiliate partners vetted for SEBI registration; no return claims in ads; influencer content kept to education with no referral payouts.
Insurance (IRDAI)The 2024 policyholder-protection framework replaced the 2021 advertisement regulations: ads need internal approval (an advertisement committee at insurers, the compliance officer at intermediaries), misleading claims are prohibited across all channels including social media, and third parties are limited to brand-level ads.Approval workflow built into the creative calendar; product ads only from the insurer or licensed intermediary's account.

Google and Meta: verification first, campaigns second

Google requires advertisers promoting financial services in India to complete financial services verification, showing authorisation from a regulator or registry such as RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, PFRDA, NHB or NPCI. Meta likewise requires verification for financial products and services ads targeting India, covering loans, credit cards, insurance and investment products; brand ads and pure financial education generally do not need it.

Meta's Financial Products and Services special ad category is a different thing and is often misunderstood. It is mandatory for US-based advertisers or US audiences, and for credit offers in the US, Canada and listed European countries; it does not currently apply to India-only campaigns. So Indian campaigns keep age, location and interest targeting, but must still pass verification and policy review. If you also advertise to the US or Europe, those ad sets are built separately under the category.

Wk 3–6

Mo 2–3

Optimise to outcome

Move bidding from application starts to approved or funded events; prune low-quality sources.

Pricing and engagement

Management starts at about ₹25,000–40,000 a month, excluding ad spend, with a recommended minimum media budget of about ₹30,000 a month. Financial keywords are among the most expensive in Indian search, and compliance review adds a few days to each creative cycle, so plan budgets on cost per approved customer rather than cost per lead. Our cost per lead benchmarks show how widely CPL varies by industry. Engagements run month-to-month after a 3-month ramp-up.

Proof, stated honestly

We have no published fintech client result, and we will not invent one. What transfers: for Ormco we ran professional and consumer lead journeys across APAC with separate claims, content and routing, the same governance a regulated financial brand needs. For The Detailing Mafia we ran pan-India lead generation where investment readiness and territory fit, not form volume, decided success. We also work in healthcare, another regulated category, under India's medical advertising rules.

How we measure success

  • Cost per approved, funded, issued or activated customer, by channel and campaign
  • Application-to-approval rate by source, to catch low-quality traffic early
  • Ad disapproval rate and time to compliance sign-off
  • Revenue or first-year value per customer against acquisition cost
  • Share of applications with complete consent records

FAQ

Fintech marketing questions we hear most

Do fintech companies need verification to run Google Ads in India?

Yes. Google requires advertisers promoting financial services in India to complete financial services verification, showing authorisation from a regulator such as RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, PFRDA or NHB, or an exemption. Without it, financial-services ads are not allowed to serve. We complete and document verification before any spend starts.

Does the Meta financial products and services special ad category apply in India?

Not for India-only campaigns at present. Meta makes the category mandatory for US-based advertisers or US audiences, and for credit ads in the US, Canada and parts of Europe. Ads for loans, cards, insurance or investments targeting India do require Meta financial-services verification, and policy review still applies.

What do RBI digital lending rules mean for loan advertising?

The RBI (Digital Lending) Directions, 2025 require lenders to publish their LSPs and apps, LSPs to show every matching offer with lender name, APR and a Key Fact Statement link without biased promotion or dark patterns, and explicit consent for data. Being listed in RBI reporting must never be advertised as RBI registration.

Can SEBI-registered brokers and advisers work with finfluencers?

Only within limits. Since 2024, SEBI-regulated entities and their agents may not associate through payments, referrals or system links with unregistered advisers or people making return or performance claims. Creators who stick to pure investor education fall outside the restriction. We vet partners and keep return claims out of all creative.

How much does fintech digital marketing cost in India?

GrowthSparx management starts at about ₹25,000–40,000 a month excluding ad spend, with a recommended minimum media budget of about ₹30,000 a month. Financial keywords are expensive, so we plan around cost per approved or funded customer. Final scope follows a free 30-minute audit call and a written 30-day plan.

Do you have fintech case studies?

No published ones, and we will not invent them. Our transferable proof is Ormco, where professional and consumer journeys across APAC needed separate claims and routing, and The Detailing Mafia, where pan-India leads were judged on investment readiness. We also run campaigns in healthcare, another regulated category.

What should a fintech optimise ads for: leads or approvals?

Approvals, disbursals, issued policies or activated accounts wherever volume allows. Optimising for form starts teaches platforms to find people who apply but do not qualify. We send downstream stages from your CRM or loan system back to Google and Meta as offline conversions, using consented data only.
